This is a small, independently-run project, not a company — "we" below just means the person who makes and runs Caldreth. These Terms aren't a substitute for legal advice; they're a plain-English attempt to set expectations for both of us.
By accessing or using Caldreth (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree to them, please don't use the Service.
Caldreth is a browser-based idle role-playing game: you start a task — a skilling activity or a fight — and check back to collect the results. It's provided "as is", is under active development, and its features, balance, and content may change, be added, or be removed at any time without notice.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Caldreth. Sign-in is handled entirely through Discord, so you also need to meet Discord's own minimum age and account requirements. If the law where you live sets a higher age of consent for using a service like this on your own behalf, you may not use Caldreth without appropriate consent.
Caldreth signs you in through Discord — there's no separate Caldreth password. Each Discord account may have one Caldreth character. You're responsible for keeping your Discord account secure, and for anything that happens through it while it's linked to Caldreth.
Gold, items, and any other in-game currency or property exist solely for use within the Service. They have no real-world monetary value, cannot be redeemed for cash, and cannot be bought, sold, or transferred outside the game. There is currently no way to purchase anything in Caldreth with real money.
Please don't: exploit bugs to gain an unfair advantage, use bots or automation beyond what the game itself provides, attack or attempt to disrupt the Service, or interfere with other players' accounts or characters. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service — including a character or an account — for conduct reasonably believed to violate these Terms.
Caldreth is a hobby project under continuous development. We don't guarantee uninterrupted availability, and progress or data may occasionally be lost. See the Privacy Policy for how your data is handled.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss of data, in-game progress, or other loss or damage arising from your use of the Service.
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access at our discretion, in particular for violating these Terms.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
